Latest Update: The UP Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana will be implemented in three phases starting from November 8.

The Yogi government has devised a plan to provide relief to the state’s electricity consumers before Diwali. Through this initiative, domestic, commercial, private institutions, and private tube well consumers can directly benefit. Uttar Pradesh’s Energy Minister, Arvind Sharma, informed that the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme will be implemented in three phases in a phased manner.

The first phase will run from November 8 to November 30, the second phase from December 1 to December 15, and the third phase will continue until December 31, 2023. Consumers will need to register to avail themselves of the benefits of the UP OTS Scheme. Those registering in the first phase will receive a 100% waiver on surcharge for a 1-kilowatt connection, while those registering in the second phase will receive a 90% waiver, and consumers in the third phase will enjoy an 80% discount.
